The FDIC publishes a list of failed banks in its website. These are banks that have failed since Oct. 2000 and for which the FDIC has been appointed as a receiver. Some of these banks have since been acquired by other banks.
It is interesting (and ironic) to see how often the words “Security” and “Integrity” occur in the names of these Banks:
| Bank Name | City | State |
| First Integrity Bank, NA | Staples | MN |
| First Security National Bank | Norcross | GA |
| Integrity Bank | Jupiter | FL |
| Integrity Bank | Alpharetta | GA |
| Security Bank of Bibb County | Macon | GA |
| Security Bank of Gwinnett County | Suwanee | GA |
| Security Bank of Houston County | Perry | GA |
| Security Bank of Jones County | Gray | GA |
| Security Bank of North Fulton | Alpharetta | GA |
| Security Bank of North Metro | Woodstock | GA |
| Security Pacific Bank | Los Angeles | CA |
| Security Savings Bank | Henderson | NV |
| United Security Bank | Sparta | GA |

Interesting observation. Another misused word is Trust. Example ABC Trust Bank..
Yes, there were also 2 instances of “Trust”
I gave Trust a pass because it is also a legal term.
